HAPPY SUMMERTIME IN SUMMERSET
The Summerset Singers are taking a break after a very busy concert season here in Summerset where we performed three great concerts. The tribute to our country with several patriotic songs seemed to be a fitting reminder of what our country is all about, and how very grateful everyone in America should be. In addition to being so proud of what America stands for, we are saddened by the horrible disaster in Texas after the terrible flooding of the Guadalupe River, and we send our prayers to the many families who are grieving the loss of so many loved ones including beautiful children.
The Summerset Singers will be back to our weekly rehearsal schedule in mid-August. We welcome any new comers. You do not need to be a trained musician, but simply love music and would like to join this great group of Singers. There is no audition required, so drop by at our rehearsal and listen while you decide to sing with us. Our rehearsals are Sunday afternoons at 4:00 P.M. at Summerset III. See you there!
The Songsters, which is a group of the Singers who sing at senior care facilities, memorials and recently the All Kare Bears Spring Luncheon, received a certificate of appreciation from the Kare Bears for their performance,
